Editorial protocol

Publishing standards

These protocols govern the editorial process across all websites operated by Aperta Acta LLC. They exist so our records remain a clear, verifiable source for consumers, researchers and journalists.

Source documentation

Factual claims published across our network must be traceable to an identifiable origin: a provider page, a public document, an official register or our own documented observation.

We avoid relying on secondary aggregation without verification. Where a claim rests on third-party reporting, we say so. Citations are embedded in the text or attached to the relevant data point, prioritizing primary and institutional sources.

Review and updates

Information ages. Published records therefore carry a date indicating the last substantive review or factual update. Minor typographic fixes that do not alter material facts are not logged as substantive updates.

Revisions that change the meaning or conclusion of a page receive an editorial note describing the nature of the change.

YMYL topics

Topics that can affect a person's finances, health, safety or legal position (“Your Money or Your Life”) receive elevated scrutiny: stricter sourcing, conservative wording and clear labeling.

Content in this category carries a notice that the information is provided for general orientation and does not constitute professional advice — legal, financial, medical or otherwise.

Conflicts and compensation

Editorial independence is paramount. Our portals may be funded through advertising, affiliate links, lead fees or partnerships — these relationships are disclosed, see our affiliate disclosure.

Compensation may influence which promotional placements appear, but it does not alter factual findings, data labeling or methodology. Nobody can pay to change a recorded price, manipulate a comparison or secure favorable editorial coverage. Content created in cooperation with a partner is explicitly labeled.

Corrections

Despite rigorous protocols, errors can occur. We correct material errors promptly and transparently. Substantive corrections are noted on the affected page.

If you spot an error, an outdated record or a broken source, please use our corrections channel. Submissions are reviewed by the editorial team.
