Affiliate disclosure
Operating well-documented information portals costs money. This page explains how our work is funded and what that funding can — and cannot — influence.
Transparency and funding
Our content may be financed through advertising, affiliate links, lead compensation or partnerships. We disclose such commercial relationships on the portals where they occur — this page documents the network-wide principles.
How affiliate links work
Certain outbound links on our portals may be coded as affiliate links. If you click such a link and subsequently make a purchase or sign up for a service, Aperta Acta LLC may receive a commission from the provider.
This does not increase the price you pay. Commissions are paid by the partner organization as a referral fee. Affiliate links do not change the prices, data or assessments we publish.
Editorial independence
Compensation can influence where promotional elements are placed. It does not influence our data sourcing, our labeling or our methodology. Providers cannot pay to alter recorded data, manipulate findings or obtain favorable coverage.
Content produced in cooperation with a partner is explicitly labeled. The principles governing our editorial work are documented in our publishing standards.
